Ferrari’s began with a chance meeting at sea. Jane Sexton, from Southampton, England, and Francesco Secchi, a Sardinian native, met while working aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and quickly fell in love. For eight years, they traveled the world together, learning the art of hospitality, service, and celebration.
In 1983, they brought that passion to Texas, opening Ferrari’s as a tribute to authentic Italian cuisine and timeless hospitality. Today, that legacy continues through the next generation. Their son, Stefano Secchi, a two-Michelin-star chef in New York City, brings the same dedication to craft, quality, and tradition to his own acclaimed work — shaped by his Italian farm roots and English upbringing. With exciting plans unfolding in 2026, the future has never looked brighter, and Ferrari’s story is just getting started.
