FRANCESCO SECCHI OWNER OF FERRARI’S ITALIAN VILLA AND FLIGHT

            A graduate of Istituto Statale Alberahiero Di Stato (a four year hotel/restaurant school in Italy), Francesco was able to enhance his scholastic experience by working in Germany, Switzerland, England and France. While in the continent of Europe, Francesco became adept at each region’s cuisine and became fluent in 5 languages.  At the age of 21, he opened the world famous Inigo Jones in London, where all dishes were finished and served tableside. Inigo Jones was rated one of the five best restaurants in Europe for five consecutive years during Francesco’s tenure.  Recognizing his potential, the owners offered Francesco a partnership in a Sardinian hotel.  Francesco’s youth, ambition and, most importantly, his desire to see the world fueled the decision to decline this offer and in its stead he joined the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, where he served 2000 passengers, which translates to 6000 meals a day, while managing a staff of comprised of 43 nationalities.

          Through his work with Royal Caribbean and Royal Viking Cruise Lines, Francesco mastered all facets of kitchen and dining room management; he also gained unparalleled knowledge of international bill of fares.  In 1973 Francesco became the youngest person to hold the position of maitre d’ and was awarded “highest achiever” for five years.

         Francesco and his partner/wife Jane Secchi own and operate Ferrari’s Italian Villa, a four star rated restaurant in Grapevine and Addison, TX; and Ferrari’s Flight a martini bar connected to Ferrari’s Grapevine.    Francesco and Jane’s combined talents and experiences have led them around the world where they have catered to the indigenous tastes of 47 nationalities.
